10-Day Journey from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Chefchaouen (The Blue Pearl)

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Fez to Chefchaouen, a stunning town nestled in the Rif Mountains.

Famous for its blue-painted streets and peaceful atmosphere, Chefchaouen is a photographer’s dream. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the medina and relax in a traditional riad for the night.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Midelt

After breakfast, visit the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved mosaics and columns.

Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, and explore its monumental gates, mausoleums, and historic medina.

Travel onward to Midelt, a quiet town in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Midelt – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Cross the rugged landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping to admire cedar forests and river valleys.

Arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Mount a camel and journey into the desert as the sun sets.

Spend the night in a luxury desert camp, where a traditional dinner and live Berber music by the fire await.

Day 4: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Leave the desert behind and drive through the Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and fortified villages.

Reach Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” home to several film studios and cinematic landscapes.

Stroll through the local souks and settle into your hotel for the evening.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

Depart Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

Arrive in Marrakech, the vibrant red city full of life, history, and color. Explore the bustling souks and settle into your riad in the heart of the old town.

Day 6: Marrakech at Leisure

Spend the day exploring Marrakech at your own pace. Visit iconic landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Garden.

Lose yourself in the medina’s alleyways or relax at a café overlooking the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Overnight in your riad.

Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira (Atlantic Coast)

Drive west to the coastal city of Essaouira, known for its windswept beaches, charming medina, and artistic vibe.

Stroll along the sea ramparts, visit artisan workshops, and enjoy the fresh seafood. Stay overnight in a local hotel or riad.

Day 8: Essaouira – Casablanca – Rabat

Follow the Atlantic coast north to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city. Admire the blend of modern and traditional architecture, especially the Hassan II Mosque, perched over the ocean.

Continue to Rabat, the capital, and visit landmarks like the Hassan Tower and Kasbah of the Udayas. Spend the night in a centrally located hotel.

Day 9: Rabat – Fez

Enjoy a relaxed morning before heading back to Fez, traveling through rolling countryside and small villages.

Spend your final evening unwinding in a traditional riad, reflecting on your journey across Morocco.

Day 10: Departure from Fez

After breakfast, transfer to the Fez airport for your departure. End of services.
