10-Day Moroccan Desert Expedition from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival in Casablanca, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
Overnight: Hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca – Marrakech

Begin the day by visiting Casablanca’s highlights, including the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Africa, and a walk through the bustling medina.
In the afternoon, depart for Marrakech. Upon arrival, enjoy a stroll in Jamaa El Fna Square and sip mint tea at one of its panoramic terraces.
Overnight: Traditional riad in the medina.

Day 3: Marrakech – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Gorges

Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit the famous Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Continue to Skoura to explore the beautiful Kasbah Amridil, then on to the dramatic Dades Gorges, where you’ll admire unique rock formations.
Overnight: Hotel in Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, continue to Todra Gorges, known for its towering cliffs. Then travel via Tinejdad to Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops.
Reach Merzouga and ride a camel into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying a majestic desert sunset.
Overnight: Luxury desert camp with dinner around the campfire.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Zagora – M’Hamid Desert

Watch the sunrise over the dunes and have breakfast. Visit the Rissani souk and Moulay Ali Cherif mausoleum.
Then head through Alnif and Zagora, stopping at Tamgroute to see its Koranic library and pottery workshops.
Arrive in M’Hamid, where the paved road ends and the Sahara begins.
Overnight: Luxury desert camp in M’Hamid.

Day 6: M’Hamid – Chegaga Dunes

After breakfast, venture deeper into the desert via 4×4 to reach the spectacular Erg Chegaga dunes.
Stop for lunch at a hidden desert oasis, then continue to Chegaga to catch an unforgettable sunset.
Overnight: Luxury camp under the stars.

Day 7: Chegaga – Lake Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Ouarzazate

Cross the wild Lake Iriqui and the Tagine Mountains to reach Foum Zguid.
Continue to Taznakht, a village famous for its Berber carpets.
Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.”
Overnight: Hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt and one of Ouarzazate’s film studios.
Drive through the High Atlas Mountains again via Tizi n’Tichka, arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon.
Overnight: Riad in Marrakech.

Day 9: Guided Tour of Marrakech

Explore the best of Marrakech on a guided tour. Visit:

  • Bahia Palace . Badii Palace

  • Saadian Tombs . Ben Youssef Madrasa

  • Majorelle Garden . Menara Gardens
    End your day in the vibrant medina.
    Overnight: Riad in Marrakech.

Day 10: Departure – Transfer to Casablanca Airport

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Casablanca airport for your return flight, filled with lasting memories of Morocco.
