Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

Begin your journey in Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic center. Meet your local driver/guide and explore landmarks such as the Hassan II Mosque, the Habous district, the Jewish Museum, and the vibrant Corniche coastline.

Afterwards, head to Rabat, the peaceful capital of Morocco. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing walk through the Old Medina and sample traditional dishes in local eateries. Overnight in a comfortable riad or hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, explore Rabat’s cultural heritage with visits to the Kasbah of the Udayas, the impressive Hassan Tower, the Royal Mausoleum, and the mysterious Chellah Necropolis.

Depart northward through the lush plains of Gharb and the Rif Mountains, passing Ouazzane along the way. Arrive in Chefchaouen by sunset, just in time to see the blue city glow in golden light. Enjoy a peaceful evening in this enchanting mountain town.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez

Take one last stroll through the charming blue alleys of Chefchaouen before heading south. En route, visit the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis, home to impressive mosaics and remnants of Roman architecture.

Continue to Meknes, where you’ll visit landmarks such as Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the historic Seouani granaries. End the day in Fez, where a traditional riad awaits you for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Full Day in Fez

Dive deep into the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. Your local guide will lead you through Fez el Jdid (including the Jewish Quarter and Royal Palace gates) and Fez el Bali, the oldest and most fascinating part of the city.

Walk through its maze-like alleys, discover traditional artisan workshops, and admire the intricate architecture of ancient religious and educational institutions. End the day with a stroll in the French-influenced Ville Nouvelle and enjoy a local café before returning to your riad.

Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

Leave Fez behind and journey south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping first in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and then in Azrou, known for its cedar forest and wild Barbary macaques.

Stop for lunch in Midelt, famous for apples and minerals, then continue through the Ziz Valley, past Erfoud and Rissani, reaching the edge of the Sahara Desert by evening. Enjoy a traditional dinner and restful night in a riad or desert hotel in Merzouga.

Day 6: Merzouga – Sahara Exploration

Rise early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, with stops to visit a nomadic family, learning about their customs and sharing a desert lunch.

Return in the afternoon to your hotel for relaxation, perhaps enjoying a traditional hammam (optional), before dining under the starlit desert sky.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Depart the desert and travel through a series of striking landscapes. Stop at the dramatic Todra Gorges, a canyon lined with vertical limestone walls perfect for a short hike or photos.

Continue to the scenic Dades Valley, filled with fortress-like kasbahs, lush gardens, and Berber villages. Enjoy a peaceful evening at a local hotel with dinner overlooking the valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

On your final day, journey through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Visit the famed Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah that has starred in numerous films and series.

Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass with its panoramic views and descend into Marrakech, the Red City. On arrival, enjoy a brief tour of key landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, or relax at your riad and celebrate your unforgettable Moroccan journey.
