9-Day Moroccan Journey from Tangier to Marrakech
Day 1: Tangier – Ouazzan – Chefchaouen
Begin your adventure in Tangier, departing early for the Rif Mountains. En route, pass through Ouazzan, a town famed for its traditional Moroccan wool garments called jellabas.

Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, take in a final stroll through Chefchaouen’s peaceful medina before departing.
Stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site where impressive mosaics and arches stand as testaments to Morocco’s Roman legacy. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, to visit the grand Bab Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
By evening, arrive in Fes and settle into a cozy riad for dinner and rest.
Overnight in Fes.
Day 3: Full Day Exploring Fes
Explore the cultural capital of Morocco with a local guide. Begin in Fes el-Jdid, visiting the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Royal Palace. Then dive into the ancient medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO-listed labyrinth of alleys brimming with artisans, tanneries, spice stalls, and centuries-old madrasas.
In the evening, relax with a walk through the Ville Nouvelle, Fes’s French-built district, and enjoy a local café.
Overnight in Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga
Leave Fes and head into the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture and clean air. Continue through Azrou’s cedar forests, home to Barbary macaques.
After a lunch break in Midelt, journey through the Ziz Valley to Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara.
Enjoy a traditional dinner and overnight in a desert riad or hotel.
Day 5: Sahara Desert – Camel Trek & Berber Experience
Rise early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After breakfast, take a guided camel trek into the heart of the desert, learning about the ecosystem and nomadic culture.

Spend the night in a desert camp or hotel under the starry sky.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Leave the dunes behind as you head west to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. Take a walk through the towering rock canyons, a favorite for hikers and photographers alike.
